A 46-year old Sulphur Springs man was booked into the Hopkins County Jail at noon on Saturday in connection with a warrant for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. 16th Annual Lone Star Heritage Show Features 155 Quilts
The 16th annual Lone Star Heritage Quilt Guild Quilt Show is coming Friday and Saturday, September 18-19 at The ROC of First Baptist Church. More than 155 quilts will be on display including antiques, juniors, Texas entries and a raffle quilt. Admission is $5 with children under 12 free. Although no formal events have been planned, Hopkins County Memorial Hospital celebrates its 66th birthday Saturday, September 5. The hospital replaced private, small hospitals owned and operated by doctors in the area.
