Graveside service for Jimmy Foley, age 69, of Nelta, Texas, will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Connor Cemetery in Dike, Texas, with Bro. Donnie Powers officiating. Joe Forshee, James Sisson “Sisco”, Stanley Roberts, Isaac Foley, Samuel Foley, and Jonah Foley serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service at Connor Cemetery. Mr. Foley passed away at Christus Mother Frances in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on Sunday, May 16, 2026.
Jimmy Foley was born on March 13, 1957, in Childress, Texas, to the late Freeman and Lorene (Parker) Foley. He married Tammie (McKinney) Foley in Dallas, Texas, on October 11, 1977. Jimmy worked as a truck driver for James and Vickie Pickel for many years. He was a devoted man of full Pentecostal faith and loved sharing his beliefs with others. Music was a special part of his life, and he played in a gospel band where his talent and passion brought joy to many. Being left-handed, Jimmy had the unique ability to play his guitar upside down, a skill that made him memorable to everyone who heard him play.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Tammie Foley of Nelta, Texas; daughter, Mandy Foley Adams and husband Kenneth of Birthwright, Texas; son, Jim Foley and wife Tamara of Birthwright, Texas; grandchildren, Joe Forshee and wife Jodie, Isaac Foley and wife Montana, Samuel Foley and wife Cameron, Jonah Foley, Makála Sturrock, J.R. Covington, Karlee Adams and spouse Navy, Kelssie Adams; seven great grandchildren; sister, Linda Blake of Sulphur Bluff, Texas; and brother, Bobby Joe Foley of Sulphur Bluff, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Blundell; and brother-in-law, Terry Blake.
