July 7, 2015 – A woman lost a purse from her car in an auto burglary and the credit cards taken from the purse were used at Walmart in Mineola. Hopkins County Sheriff’s officers arrested a second man in connection with the armed holdup of a couple at Highway 11 West and County Road 4703 just before 3 a.m. Friday. Arrested were 20-year old Demetrius Shawn Williams and 18-year old Jason Floyd Koenig. Both men were charged with aggravated robbery before Justice of the Peace B. J. Teer.
