“Updated” Tornado Watch Until 10 p.m. May 25 Cancelled
The National Weather Service has canceled a tornado watch in effect until 10 p.m. for Hopkins, Hunt, Rains, Lamar, Delta, and Van Zandt counties in Northeast Texas. The watch was cancelled at 7:15 p.m. Monday.

Deborah Balkcom, a volunteer with Hearts of Life Animal Rescue, brought Diana, who is up for adoption, to KSST Wednesday. Family Displaced by Apartment Fire in Como
A family was displaced as a result of a smoky fire in a unit of an apartment complex located in the 300 block of First Street in Como at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. A pet cat died in the fire but there were no other injuries. The one unit had very heavy smoke damage to contents. Adjacent units received some smoke damage.
