NRA Grant Expands Firearm Qualification for WPD

Winnsboro Police Department has received a grant from the National Rifle Association to fund a quarterly officer’s firearms qualification. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement requires that each commissioned officer in the state qualify once each calendar year with any firearm they carry on duty. The grant totaled $2121.80.
