Going Away Reception for Coach Andy Holt

Friends of former SSISD Soccer Coach Andy Holt are invited to a come-and-go reception at The Roc on Sunday June 12, 2016 from 2-4pm. Light refreshments will be served. At the All-Sports Banquet in May, he announced that he was going to coach at Frisco Wakeland, a soccer powerhouse. Sulphur Springs is Holt’s hometown. He predicts the Wildcats will have a good soccer year in 2016/2017.

Two former Sulphur Springs athletes have new positions with the SSISD after they were approved by the School Board Monday night. Former Wildcats soccer player and distance runner Ross Hicks, who has been a PE teacher and coach at the Middle School, has been hired by Athletic Director Greg Owens as the Wildcats Cross Country Coach. Veteran Wildcats Baseball Coach Jerrod Hammack opened his baseball hitting camp Monday morning in the Multipurpose Building.
