Both the Saltillo Lions and Lady Lions got big wins over Fannindel Friday night. Mason McGill was presented as Homecoming Queen during the evening. The Lady Cats’ basketball team came away with a big district win at Mt. Pleasant, 43-41 Friday night. The Lady Cats seemed to be cruising at halftime as they led 26-16. The Wildcats’ basketball team picked a bad night for an off night as Mt. Pleasant defeated the Wildcats, 51-39 in Wildcats Gym Friday night. The Lady Cats’ soccer team opened up defense of their 2016 title at a Paris tournament with a 2-0 win over Mabank Thursday. The Lady Cats scored twice in the first half to defeat Mabank.
