When the Wildcats and Lady Cats’ basketball teams face Mt. Pleasant’s Tigers and Lady Cats Friday night, first place in the district will be up for grabs. All four teams are undefeated in district play.
The Wildcats will host the Tigers in Wildcats Gym. There will be a freshman game at 5 p.m., a JV contest at around 6:15 p.m. and then the big varsity contest at around 7:30 p.m. The Wildcats varsity is 3-0 in district play and 18-4 for the season. Mt. Pleasant is 4-0 in district play and 16-5 for the season. The Tigers have dominated the series with the Wildcats for several seasons now. We will bring you the Wildcats and the Tigers from Wildcats Gym at around 7:30 p.m. on KSST Radio. We will also videotape the game for replay at a later date on Channel 18 on Suddenlink Cable.
Meanwhile the Lady Cats will play the Lady Tigers at Mt. Pleasant. They too will have a freshman game at 5 p.m., a JV contest at around 6:15 p.m. and then a varsity game at around 7:30 p.m. Both the Lady Cats and Lady Tigers are 5-0 in district play. The Lady Cats season record is 19-3. The Lady Tigers are coached by former Lady Cats coach Tina Carrillo, who is in her first season at Mt. Pleasant.
