February 19, 2018 – A call to Sulphur Springs Police alerted them to a burglary of a residence on Bellview Street. Local police found Sherrie Lee Cooksey, 40, of Sulphur Springs, hiding in a bathroom at the residence. The complainant stated she observed Cooksey inside a vehicle at the residence when she arrived. Wildcats Face Lovejoy in Tuesday Bi-District Game at Paris High Gym
The Wildcats’ basketball team will be playing Lovejoy in a bi-district game on Tuesday (February 20) at Paris at 7 p.m. Lovejoy and West Mesquite ended up in a tie for fourth place after their district play. In a playoff spot determining game Friday (February 16) night, the Leopards got by West Mesquite 58-53. The Wildcats come into Tuesday’s game ranked #13 in the state with a 28-4 season record.
