The Lady Cats’ volleyball team won all three matches they played in a Tyler tournament Saturday and claimed the championship in the tournament’s Silver Bracket. Yantis ISD Voters Reject Tax Increase

A proposed tax increase was rejected by Yantis ISD voters Saturday. Unofficial results show 91 votes opposed and only 63 votes for the measure. Monday evening at 6, the Yantis School Board will meet in the school cafeteria to discuss the 2016-17 proposed budget and to adopt the budget along with budget amendments. In Executive Session, they will discuss duties, responsibilities, and assignments of personnel.
