Lady Cats Win First Game in Tournament

The Lady Cats’ basketball team won their first game in the Idabel Winter Tournament, 61-30 over Haworth, Oklahoma Monday morning.  The Lady Cats led by seven at the half but put the game away with a 15-2 third quarter advantage.  Kaylee Jefferson led the Lady Cats with 12 points and 8 rebounds.  Sadavia Porter scored 11 points.  The Lady Cats play Tuesday at 4 p.m.  The Lady Cats improved their season record to 14-4.

Lady Cats Strong Fourth Quarter Overcomes Texas High

After battling Texas High for three quarters, the Lady Cats’ basketball team outscored the Lady Tigers 20-8 in the fourth quarter to clinch a 48-37 win in Wildcats Gym Monday afternoon. The Lady Cats led at the end of the first quarter 11-5 but the Lady Tigers roared back in the second quarter to lead 22-17 at the half. Tuesday Night: Lady Cats Open Season; Wildcats Host Paris

The Lady Cats’ basketball team lost in the championship game against Dallas Christian 46-37 Saturday evening at an Edgewood tournament. They Lady Cats were outscored 15-8 in the fourth quarter. Wildcats, Lady Cats Win Thursday Tourney Games

Both the Wildcats and Lady Cats won tournament games Thursday. The Wildcats defeated Garrison, 63-38 in their first game in a tournament at Central Heights in Nacogdoches. Lady Cats’ Strong Second Half Defeats Paris 66-33

After a close first two quarters at Paris Tuesday, the Lady Cats’ basketball team broke the game open in the second half for a 63-33 win. The Lady Cats improved their season record to 4-1. The Lady Cats’ basketball team put four strong quarters of offense together to overwhelm Lindale, 73-40 Tuesday night in Wildcats Gym.  Kaylee Jefferson hit 14 of 17 free throws and scored 28 points to lead the Lady Cats.  Lexie Moore added 14 points and Sheretta Hill 12.
