The Lady Cats’ basketball team jumped out to a 17-3 first quarter lead and then outscored Marshall 15-0 in the second quarter to take a 32-3 halftime lead on the way to a 50-13 victory Friday night in Wildcats Gym. A tenacious defense by the Lady Cats stifled the Lady Mavs’ offense. Kaylee Jefferson led the Lady Cats with 16 points and Sadavia Porter and Lexie Moore added 9 points each. The Lady Cats evened their district record at 1-1. They are now 12-4 for the season. The Lady Cats will host Texas High Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Wildcats Gym. After Christmas, the Lady Cats will play in an Idabel, Oklahoma tournament December 28-30
