Wildcats Place 5th in Regional Preview
The Wildcats Golf Team finished fifth in a Regional Preview tournament at Rockwall Athletic Club last Friday and Saturday. Wildcats Golf Coach Ross Funk said his team shot 325 and then 308. Saltillo Lion basketball senior Lane Bench was named District 24-A Offensive Player of the Year by district coaches during a recent meeting. Lady Cats Take 10-2 Season Record to Wylie Tourney Thursday
The Lady Cats Softball Team ended up with 4 wins and 2 losses in the Allen Invitational Softball Tournament. On Saturday, the Lady Cats defeated Frisco Lone Star, 8-5. The Lady Cats broke a 5-5 tie with three runs in the top of the fourth inning. The Lady Cats collected 14 hits to 7 for Lone Star. The Lady Cats are now 10-2 for the season. They will play in a Wylie tournament this Thursday through Saturday.

The Lady Cats Softball Team continues to please Coach David Carrillo by playing well in the Allen Invitational Softball Tournament. Fridaythe Lady Cats split a pair of games losing by a single run, 4-3 against Flower Mound Marcus and then defeating the host team, Allen, 9-3. The Wildcats season record is now 9-2. The Lady Cats close out their play in the Allen tournament against Frisco Liberty at 1 p.m. Saturday.

It took until their fourth game in the Rose City Classic for the Wildcats Baseball Team to break into the win column. They did so in style with a solid, 8-0 win over Nacogdoches Friday afternoon.
