State Senator Bob Hall to Visit Hopkins County
State Senator Bob Hall will be in Sulphur Springs Thursday. Senator Hall, who represents Senate District 2, will be having a meet and greet event Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Coffee Off the Square at 204 Church Street. Glenn Epps was sentenced in Eighth District Court Wednesday in connection with three convictions returned against him by a Hopkins County jury in August. District Judge Eddie Northcutt sentenced Epps to 12 months in prison for delivery of cocaine. Multiple Illegal Drugs Found During Traffic Stop
Two men and a woman from El Dorado, Arkansas face drug charges after Cumby Police Officer Ryan Johnson made a traffic stop on their vehicle at the 110 mile marker of I-30 at around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday. One of the men fled the scene but was soon captured. The smell of marijuana led to a search of the vehicle.
