About 30 inmates began demolition work at Gerald Prim Stadium Monday morning at 8 a.m. as preparations begin for a total remodel of the stadium. Break Down on I-30 Leads to Arrest

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputies noted an auto that had mechanical failure at the 136 mile marker eastbound shoulder of I-30. There they found Domonique Bre’anna Rugley, 17, the driver. Further investigation revealed that she did not have permission to drive the vehicle. Rugley is in Hopkins County Jail charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a state jail felony.

Hopkins County Deputies were called to a disturbance on County Road 3518 in the Dike Community Sunday. There they found a mother and son who had been in an altercation. According to the victim, the mother, it was a verbal altercation at first but when Daniel Ray Penson, 26, exhibited a pocket knife and stated he would kill them both, it became much more.
