Hammack Named Defensive Player of the Year; All-District Volleyball Team Includes Eight Lady Cats; Nine Lady Cats Make Academic All-District

Lady Cats Volleyball player Anden Hammack was named the defensive player of the year on this year’s All-District Volleyball Team. Hammack was one of eight Lady Cats on the team. Sheretta Hill and Kaylee Jefferson were named on the first team. Tori Moore and Autumn Tanton made the second team. Honorable Mention honors went to Mieke VanBenthem, Maggie McGlamery and Imani Taylor. Coach Justin Maness said Hammack passes a really good ball. He added she got better as the year progressed in her first year as the team’s libero. Coach Maness said other district coaches commented on the Lady Cats offense and how the ball was well distributed among several players instead of just one player.

Nine Lady Cats made the Academic All-District Team: Anden Hammack, Imani Taylor, Sheretta Hill, Maggie McGlamery, Autumn Tanton, Abbi Baier, Tori Moore, Kaylee Jefferson and Madison Vickery.
