February 2, 2020 – Hopkins County jail marked two milestones this week – success in two of the programs offered to inmates. Employment remains strong in Hopkins County according to the latest report from the Northeast Texas Workforce Development. In their Area Labor Market Information for November 2017, the unemployment rate for the county is 3.1 with a labor force of 17,211 and 16,671 of those employed. Texas unemployment rate is at 3.7.
