The Haystacks Choir wrapped up a season of music at the Reilly Springs Jamboree on December 19, 2015. School Holidays Ahead; Early Dismissal, Return Dates
Most schools in the area are getting a jump on the holiday. All but one school in the Hopkins County area will dismiss early for the holidays. Two schools will dismiss early today and Friday. United Way Currently $17,485 Over Goal
This year’s Hopkins County United Way Campaign soared past its’ $160,000 goal by quite a bit as dollars poured in at a final report meeting Wednesday morning. The reported total Wednesday was $177,485 but more is expected to come in later. Drive Chairman Price Orwosky said that with $17,000 over goal several packets remain out. General Election Early Voting Begins Monday
There will be lots of changes for voters in Hopkins County, according to County Clerk Debbie Shirley. Beginning with the November 3 State Proposition Election, voters can cast ballots at any of the county’s 14 voter centers, six in the county and eight in Sulphur Springs.
