The Lady Cats’ basketball team struggled offensively in Friday night’s 41-32 loss to Pine Tree at home. Coach Jeff Chapman hopes moving point guard Daieyshia Pruitt to another position will help since she’s a good offensive weapon. Meeting Monday, June 12, the Sulphur Springs School Board approved the hiring of Cannon Earp as the new Wildcats Head Basketball Coach. Coach Earp has been the Head Basketball Coach at Hudson for the past three seasons. A native of Crockett, Coach Earp was also a head coach before that at Fairfield for one year.
