The Lady Cats’ basketball team ended up splitting four games in a Kaufman holiday tournament Monday and Tuesday. Monday the Lady Cats lost to Mabank 45-34 and to Ennis 73-39. Tuesday produced two impressive Lady Cats’ wins. They topped North Mesquite 60-52 and then bested host Kaufman, 67-37. In the Kaufman game, Daieyshia Pruitt led the Lady Cats with 21 points including 3-three pointers and six rebounds. Sheretta Hill added 14 points and Kaylee Jefferson had 10 points. The Lady Cats dominated the first two quarters and had a 42-14 halftime lead on their way to the 67-37 win. The Lady Cats are now 10-7. The Lady Cats, 1-1 jump back into district play at Texas High Friday afternoon at 2:15 p.m.
