It was a long hot day at the Sulphur Springs ISD Administration Building Monday. At 11:15 a.m., lights begin to flicker. By 11:30 a.m., the decision was made to cut off power to the building due to a faulty power connection outside. The very old part was very rusty and corroded. The Sulphur Springs School Board had their second budget work session Monday night (July 21). Superintendent Mike Lamb said work on the budget had been going on for weeks. During this fiscal year, the Sulphur Springs School Board has approved several budget amendments totaling more than $1-million.
