Power Issues At SSISD Administration Building

It was a long hot day at the Sulphur Springs ISD Administration Building Monday. At 11:15 a.m., lights begin to flicker. By 11:30 a.m., the decision was made to cut off power to the building due to a faulty power connection outside. The very old part was very rusty and corroded. The outage meant no phones or computers and the temperature rose. Employees were sent home at 3 p.m. Power was restored at around 3:30 p.m. It was still warm in the boardroom during the board meeting Monday night.
