Omar Adalbrerto Torres, 23, of Mount Pleasant was stopped on I-30 for speeding and an improperly placed license plate. A probable cause search discovered a clear plastic baggie containing white powdery substance believed to be cocaine. Torres is in Hopkins County Jail charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 less than 1-gram.

Sulphur Springs Police stopped a speeding vehicle at 4:42 p.m. Saturday. The nervous driver revealed a white rock substance believed to be cocaine during the investigation.
