Newborn Tests Positive for Cocaine; Mother Arrested

CPSA Special Crimes Unit and Child Protective Services investigation resulted in the arrest of Shaukiquia Tralynn Ford, 31, of Sulphur Springs. The investigation began when CPS was notified that Ford’s newborn baby tested positive for cocaine at the time of birth.

Ford was arrested on a warrant at an Industrial Drive address Wednesday afternoon. Ford admitted to drug use during her pregnancy. (Picture was unavailable, county jail website was down.)
