CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Celebrates New Primary Care Clinic In Winnsboro

March 21, 2023– CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic (CTC) celebrated the opening of a new primary care clinic in Winnsboro with a ribbon cutting and blessing on Monday.

Located at 719 W. Coke Road, Medical Office Building 1, Suite 3, this location is prepared to meet the ever-growing healthcare needs of the Winnsboro community, with a fully staffed care team, six exam rooms, and an on-site lab.

“Our goal is to continue to build on the quality of care we have established here in the Winnsboro community,” said Erin Acker, vice president of operations, CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic. “We want to make sure that all patients can receive the best care at any of our facilities.” The primary care clinic team focuses on providing excellent care for the entire family. Their services include sick visits, routine physicals and wellness screenings, disease management and health education.

All CTC locations are fully integrated with the electronic health record system Epic. This includes access to MyChart, a free app to manage your health and stay connected to CHRISTUS Health. MyChart enables patients to schedule appointments, access on-demand care, refill prescriptions, review your medical records, and exchange secure messages with their clinician.

“Having Epic in our clinics and hospital makes it easier for patients, doctors, and practitioners to interact with one another, leading to better communication and building a better patient-provider relationship,” said Paul Harvey, President, CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Winnsboro. The clinic is staffed by Physician Assistant Don Roseberry, PA-C, who has over 15 years of patient care experience. As a Winnsboro area resident himself, he is proud to offer these expanded services to his community.

Roseberry earned his Bachelor of Science in nuclear medicine technology from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas and his Master of Science in physician assistant studies from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee.

“I think this is all about the people of Winnsboro and the surrounding area, and our desire to deliver high-quality, excellent care,” said Roseberry. “I look forward to building long-term relationships with both patients and the community of Winnsboro and beyond.”

“We are excited to continue the great relationship we have with the Winnsboro community,” added Dr. Brent Wadle, Institute Chair of Primary Care for CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic. “The opening of this clinic will continue to reinforce our commitment to this community and allows us to continue to bring the best healthcare to the area.”

Wildcats Powerlifting finishes 6th at Regional Meet, Has at least one athlete moving on to State

Coach Casey Jeter and his squad had an extremely solid outing Friday, Mar. 10 at the Region 3 of 4A Division II powerlifting meet at Arp High School.

One Wildcat qualified for the state competition, with four others finishing as alternates for the state meet in Abilene.

Logan Lawrence (114) came in 4th place, squatting 285/benching 190/dead lifting 270 at the Regional meet.

Lowrance is the first of four Sulphur Springs lifters to be listed as alternates for the state 4A powerlifting meet.

132 had three Wildcats lifting with the hopes of moving on to state, including two who are alternates for the 4A state meet for men’s powerlifters:

  • Abe Banuelos — 955 pound total (3rd), Alternate for state competition
  • Cristobal Torres — 355/225/365 (5th), Alternate for state meet
  • Isaac Riley — 885 pound total (9th)

But in the 181 weight group, Matthew Mitchell won his class as the Wildcat squatted 625, benched 350 and dead lifted 480 last weekend. His 625 pounds squatted set a new regional record for 181’s.

Sean Dial was the final lifter from Sulphur Springs taking part in the Regional powerlifting meet. Dial came in 4th in his weight group after lifting 1,460 pounds in Arp.

He was the fourth and final powerlifter to be listed as an alternate for the state 4A powerlifting meet.

With one winner in Mitchell (including his regional record), combined with four alternates for state, allowed Sulphur Springs to finish sixth in Arp.

Five athletes medaled at the Regional competition.

Next up, a few Wildcats from the powerlifting team move on to the state meet.

That is set to be held Friday and Saturday, Mar. 24-25 in Abilene beginning Friday at 8:30 A.M.
