Wildcats Defeat Greenville for First District Win
The Wildcats’ basketball team claimed their first district win of the year with a 72-65 win at Greenville Friday night. The Wildcats improved to 1-2 in district play and 8-11 for the season. The Wildcats were led by Ke’Ontae Dunn and Keaston Willis with 22 points each. Garrett Jones also chipped in 11 points. Next the Wildcats travel to Hallsville Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.

The Wildcats new powerlifting coach is Jacob Alford. Coach Alford was a powerlifter in high school at Lindale and was a state qualifier his senior year. The Lady Cats’ soccer team wrapped up the scrimmage portion of their schedule with a 3-1 loss to Paris on the road Tuesday night. The scrimmage was moved to the artificial turf field at Paris due to wet field conditions at Prim Stadium.
