Wildcats Defeat Greenville for First District Win
The Wildcats’ basketball team claimed their first district win of the year with a 72-65 win at Greenville Friday night. The Wildcats improved to 1-2 in district play and 8-11 for the season. The Wildcats were led by Ke’Ontae Dunn and Keaston Willis with 22 points each. Garrett Jones also chipped in 11 points. Next the Wildcats travel to Hallsville Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.
Lady Cats Soccer Wins Pair at Tourney
The Lady Cats’ soccer team opened the regular season with a pair of wins in a Terrell tournament Thursday. Both wins were by shutout. The Lady Cats topped Lindale, 3-0 and then edged by Huntsville, 1-0. The Lady Cats, now 2-0, play host Terrell and Dallas Conrad Friday. The tournament continues Saturday.
Wildcats Powerlifters Begin Season
The Wildcats new powerlifting coach is Jacob Alford. Coach Alford was a powerlifter in high school at Lindale and was a state qualifier his senior year.
