Sulphur Springs Corvette Club will collect new blankets, electric blankets, and/or cash donations for needy senior citizens in Sulphur Springs and surrounding areas from 6-9 p.m. December 7th, 8th, and 9th at Celebration Plaza in Sulphur Springs. Once again the wait-staff of Burgers and Fries, 208 College Street, have donated their tips received for service. The recipient of their over $2000 donation is the Senior Citizens Center, 150 MLK Boulevard in Sulphur Springs. “These wonderful people and their customers are making a difference in a lot of Senior’s Lives,” stated Karon Weatherman, Program and Marketing Director for the Senior Center.

A long Wildcats’ football season came to an end Friday as the Marshall Mavericks claimed a 39-0 district win at Gerald Prim Stadium on Senior Night. The Lady Cats’ volleyball team earned a playoff spot with a 3-1 district win over Texas High Tuesday night in Wildcats Gym. The loss eliminated the Lady Tigers.
