SSHS Soccer Teams Take to the Pitch For Scrimmages
Both of the Wildcats and Lady Cats’ soccer teams open the season with two scrimmages this week. The Wildcats scrimmage at Royse City New Year’s Eve at 2:30 p.m. and then have their annual Alumni Scrimmage on the Prim Stadium pitch Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. The Lady Cats scrimmage against John Tyler at Rose Stadium Tuesday at 7 p.m. and again at Pleasant Grove Saturday at 1 p.m.
Christmas Fires at Two Local Agribusinesses Under Investigation
Sulphur Springs firefighters were called to a couple of fires Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The first fire destroyed the second floor of the old tin Northeast Texas Farmers Co-Op building near Houston and Jackson.
