A Sulphur Springs man and a woman from Deport, Texas were arrested by the Commerce Police Department working on a tip from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office. The matter that makes Sheriff Butch Adams happy is the 84.4% clearance rate for major crimes with lots of stolen items also returned to victims. A 35-year old Balch Springs man faces a charge of solicitation of a minor after he was arrested Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at a Sulphur Springs site where he was to meet the young person for a sexual tryst.
