Petunia Adoptable from Hearts of Life at Pet Sense on Saturday
The adoptable dog of the week from Hearts of Life Animal Rescue is Petunia, a 12-week old bassett-beagle mix. She was one of ten puppies abandoned at the shelter several weeks ago. Wildcats Season Ends With Senior Night and a Loss
A long Wildcats’ football season came to an end Friday as the Marshall Mavericks claimed a 39-0 district win at Gerald Prim Stadium on Senior Night. The Mavericks rode a strong second quarter to victory. They led only 7-0 after the first quarter but outscored the Wildcats, 19-0 in the second quarter. Cypress Baptist Association Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser 2015
November 6, 2015 – The Cypress Baptist District Association is having its’ first ever Walk-A-Thon Saturday in Buford Park. Funds raised will allow association youths to attend a national event in Florida this summer. Registration gets underway at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will start at 9 a.m. They are asking for a $10 donation to participate in the walk. There will also be refreshments.

Hopkins County Judge Robert Newsom expects inmates to move into the new County Jail perhaps as early as November 20. Saltillo Cross Country teams placed in the Region 3 competition qualifying them for the state meet. The Lady Lions finished second and the Lions finished third at Regionals.
