Police Search for 17 Year Old Suspect in Shooting
The Sulphur Springs Police Department is looking for a 17-year old man in connection with a shooting that occurred late Wednesday. An active arrest warrant has been issued naming Dakota Hunter Parker for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police Sgt. State Senator Bob Hall to Visit Hopkins County
State Senator Bob Hall will be in Sulphur Springs Thursday. Senator Hall, who represents Senate District 2, will be having a meet and greet event Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Coffee Off the Square at 204 Church Street. Glenn Epps Sentenced
Glenn Epps was sentenced in Eighth District Court Wednesday in connection with three convictions returned against him by a Hopkins County jury in August. District Judge Eddie Northcutt sentenced Epps to 12 months in prison for delivery of cocaine. Multiple Illegal Drugs Found During Traffic Stop
Two men and a woman from El Dorado, Arkansas face drug charges after Cumby Police Officer Ryan Johnson made a traffic stop on their vehicle at the 110 mile marker of I-30 at around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday. One of the men fled the scene but was soon captured. The smell of marijuana led to a search of the vehicle.
