Two hundred eighteen (218) voted early in the November 7th is Constitutional Amendment Election. There are seven (7) propositions on the ballot. All polling places in the county will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Propositions being considered include: Proposition 1 Disabled Veterans/Property Taxes. Cumby Freshman Competes at 2A State Cross Country Championship; Good Start to Running Career

Cumby Freshman Lady Trojan Lexi Busby ran Saturday, November 4, 2017,  in the 2A State Cross Country Champions.  She placed 26th out of the 152 top runners in her division. She ran a time of 12:47. Coach Casey Busby says that Lexi has worked very hard this year and her experience today will benefit her running career.

Area High School Cross Country Teams Place at State

Saturday (November 4) was a big day for Hopkins County at the State Cross Country Meet at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. In boys Class 1A, Miller Grove won the state championship, Saltillo finished second and Sulphur Bluff fourth. In girls Class 1A, Miller Grove was second and Saltillo twelfth.
