You can take a number of precautions to prevent heat exhaustion and other heat related illnesses. Heat exhaustion occurs when our body is unable to cool itself enough to maintain a health body temperature. Normally, the body cools itself by sweating, but sometimes sweating isn’t enough and body temperature keeps rising. Every morning the volunteer cooks of Meal-A-Day arrive at the senior center at 7 am to prepare delicious meals for your local seniors. All meals are prepared and ready to deliver by 10 am. About 120 to 180 meals are prepared each day. It’s a well orchestrated process as each driver pulls up, loads coolers and crates then head off. July 6 2019 – Local law enforcement officers were tipped off by an informant about two stolen firearms that had been thrown into two lakes in Sulphur Springs. One firearm, a 9mm, was thrown into Lake Sulphur Springs, while the other firearm, a 380 auto, was thrown into Peavine Pinion Pool.
