Thank you Hopkins County for Making Stew Fest 2014 a HUGE Success!!! To host an event that gathers over 7000 people in one day, takes a TON of dedicated volunteers to make it happen. I cannot go another day without thanking all of the wonderful people who helped with the stew contest. It would take the whole paper to list them all but I will try to list them in categories…so here goes…Thank you Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors...

Winnsboro Western Reenactment Group, Legends of Crossroads, Will be Performing Saturday at Fall Festival
The Winnsboro Western reenactment group, Legends of Crossroads, will be performing Saturday at Fall Festival. They are scheduled to do skits on the grassy area in front of the Civic Center at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. They also intend to visit the site of the Stew Contest in Buford Park. Seven Legends’ members are expected to attend. They are members of the Reenactors Guild of America.

Fall Festival Covers Most of October
Fall Festival has moved and it’s spread out all over the month of October. There’s a Battle of the Bands on October 11. The Golf Tournament is on October 13. The Parade, with the Bill Bradford family as Parade Marshals, is October 18. The Carnival gets underway October 22.
