The team of John Mark McAfee and Patsy McAfee sponsored by McAfee Farms took first place in Super Stew Chicken at the Stew Contest Saturday. The Garrett Glass team sponsored by Guaranty Bank and Trust took first in Super Stew Beef. The first place chicken stew team was Krista Brown and Gary Friddle sponsored by Northeast Texas Farmers Co-op. The team of Richard and Ashley Brantley sponsored by Hopkins County Special Education Co-op took first in beef stew. There were a record 154 stew sites.
