After the Wildcats’ basketball team plays in a Kaufman tournament Monday and Tuesday, they will open district play at Texas High Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the Lady Cats’ basketball team’s only action this week will be on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in an Idabel, Oklahoma tournament. Lady Cats Strong Fourth Quarter Overcomes Texas High
After battling Texas High for three quarters, the Lady Cats’ basketball team outscored the Lady Tigers 20-8 in the fourth quarter to clinch a 48-37 win in Wildcats Gym Monday afternoon. The Lady Cats led at the end of the first quarter 11-5 but the Lady Tigers roared back in the second quarter to lead 22-17 at the half. Lady Cats Start Slow, Never Recover
The Lady Cats’ basketball team got off to a slow start against Texas High Tuesday night at home and was never able to recover. The Lady Cats were down 17-4 after the first quarter and the Lady Tigers ended up with a 54-34 win. Daieyshia Pruitt led the Lady Cats with 17 points.
