Although today’s path of the total eclipse will not cross Texas, persons residing in NE Texas can observe a partial eclipse today between 1 pm and 3 pm. For example, viewers in Texarkana can observe an 82% partial eclipse. Please use appropriate eye protection if you plan to watch the eclipse. In 2024, a total solar eclipse will affect Northeast Texas. The last time the phenomenon occurred above this part of the United States was July 28, 1878.
