Five Wildcats have been named to the Academic All-State Football team according to Sulphur Springs High School Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Greg Owens. Owens released the list late Tuesday afternoon by email. The Hugo, Oklahoma Lady Buffaloes closed with a rush to defeat the Lady Cats, 42-35 in Wildcats Gym Friday night. Expect Sulphur Springs High School to remain at the lower end of Class 5A based on the UIL Reclassification and Realignment Conference Cutoff Numbers released Friday. 5A will have from 2149 students to 1100. The Lady Cats’ basketball team put four strong quarters of offense together to overwhelm Lindale, 73-40 Tuesday night in Wildcats Gym.
