Saltillo Basketball Season Ends
The Saltillo Lady Lions lost out on their 2016 bid for State at the Regional level. The girls succumbed to Lipan 65-41 on Friday February 26 at Mansfield High School Gym. They ended the season as 1A Regional Quarterfinal Champs. A week earlier, the Saltillo Varsity Boys lost to Campbell 59-46 in a Bi-District match at Cooper which ended their season.
Grand Champ Lamb and Goat named
Tanner Swinson’s ewe “Lucky” was named Grand Champion Lamb and Parris Pickett’s goat “Whopper” was named Grand Champion Goat at Thursday’s Hopkins County Jr. Market Livestock Show for lambs and goats.
