Cumby FFA Chapter showing at Jr. Market Livestock Show

Cumby FFA Officers Dayton Wood and Brandy Walker have benefited from the assistance of Ag teacher Jonathan Mendez in caring for their livestock projects. Dayton did well in Lamb Showmanship and in Greenhand Creed at the Ft. Worth Stock Show in January. Besides her lamb’s feeding, exercise and grooming regimen,  Brandy’s time is also devoted to two heifers she plans to show this June in the Hopkins County Dairy Classic. Look for both students at the Hopkins County Jr. Market Livestock Show and Sale this weekend, February 25-27, in the Regional Civic Center in Sulphur Springs. Teachers Jonathan Mendez and Michele Whalen head up the Ag Department and the FFA Chapter at Cumby ISD.
