Tanner Swinson’s ewe “Lucky” was named Grand Champion Lamb and Parris Pickett’s goat “Whopper” was named Grand Champion Goat at Thursday’s Hopkins County Jr. Market Livestock Show for lambs and goats. Both students also won in the Showmanship Class. Both students are in 4H and both have a few years experience in showing livestock. Parris is a 6th-grader at SSMS and Tanner is a Jr. at Cooper High School. Both students expressed appreciation to their parents and teachers who keep them interested and involved in Agriculture projects. Money won in show rings this Spring will be a part of Tanner’s college savings.
