Grand Champ Lamb and Goat named

Tanner Swinson’s ewe “Lucky” was named Grand Champion Lamb and Parris Pickett’s goat “Whopper” was named Grand Champion Goat at Thursday’s Hopkins County Jr. Market Livestock Show for lambs and goats.  Both students also won in the Showmanship Class. Both students are in 4H and both have a few years experience in showing livestock.  Parris is a 6th-grader at SSMS and Tanner is a Jr. at Cooper High School. Both students expressed appreciation to their parents and teachers who keep them interested and involved in Agriculture projects. Money won in show rings this Spring will be a part of Tanner’s college savings. See Tanner, Parris, Caleb Lewis and other students at the Sale of Champions starting at 1pm on Saturday February 27, 2016 in the arena of the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center.
