Continuing Ed Nurse Aide Class Available at PJC-Sulphur Springs Center
A nurse aide class will be available at the Paris Junior College – Sulphur Springs Center in May from the Continuing Education Department. The class will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, May 30-June 8, and the clinical portion of the course meets Monday through Friday, June 12-16, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The class offers preparation for entry level nursing assistants. Bribery Attempt Adds to Woes of Arkansas Man in Hopkins County
A $20 bill in his billfold just added to his problems when Damiane Earl Cunning, 22, of Arkansas offered the bill to a Hopkins County Deputy in exchange for not charging him with several offenses committed. Cunning was a passenger in an auto stopped at the 132-mile marker on I-30 Eastbound. The driver of the auto had called 911 when she became afraid of Cunning. Local Man Wanted for Hunt County Aggravated Robbery Arrested
A Sulphur Springs man wanted for Aggravated Robbery in Hunt County was walking down the wrong side of the roadway when a Sulphur Springs Police officer approached and began a conversation. He also gave the officer a fictitious name—Bobby Johnson—early on in the conversation.
