Local Man Wanted for Hunt County Aggravated Robbery Arrested

A Sulphur Springs man wanted for Aggravated Robbery in Hunt County was walking down the wrong side of the roadway when a Sulphur Springs Police officer approached and began a conversation. He also gave the officer a fictitious name—Bobby Johnson—early on in the conversation.

However, during the investigation, Bobby Ray Edwards, 24, of Sulphur Springs revealed his real name to the officer and that is when it was found that he was wanted in Hunt County.

Edwards is in Hopkins County Jail charged with Failure to Identify Fugitive Intent Give False Information (a misdemeanor) and is being held on the Hunt County Felony warrant. His bond is $75,000.
