Cooper Woman Arrested for Fake Prescriptions
March 20, 2018 – Special Crimes Unit began an investigation after receiving complaints of an individual calling in fake prescriptions at a local pharmacy. During the investigation, Lindsay Cherry Goff, 40, of Cooper, was identified as the individual making the calls. Lady Lions Lose to Detroit
The Saltillo Lady Lions’ softball team ended up on the short end of a 17-2 game against Detroit on Friday. The Lady Lions scored twice in the third inning. Tori Mobley and Chandler Bain pitched for the Lady Lions with Mobley recording two strikeouts and Bain one. Bain, Madison Simmons and Anna Reeder were all 1 for 2 with a single. Another pitching gem by the Lady Cats’ softball team’s Bailey Haggerty and the Lady Cats shut out Greenville, 7-0 in Greenville on Good Friday. The Wildcats’ baseball team finally got to play their game against Mount Pleasant three days late due to wet weather and they shut out the Tigers, 8-0 on Good Friday at Mount Pleasant.
