Lady Cats Shut Out Greenville 7-0

Another pitching gem by the Lady Cats’ softball team’s Bailey Haggerty and the Lady Cats shut out Greenville, 7-0 in Greenville on Good Friday. Haggerty pitched a complete game shutout allowing only three hits while striking out seven and allowing no walks.

The Lady Cats scored runs in four of their seven innings including two runs in the second, fourth and sixth innings. They tallied one in the third inning. The Lady Cats played errorless ball. The Lady Cats had ten hits. Kelsey Wallace was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a double. Sadie Stroud was 2 for 3 with an RBI, a run scored and a double. Alyssa Abron was 1 for 4 with two runs scored, an RBI and a triple. Sierra Smith was 1 for 3 with a run scored and a triple. Macee Hollins was 1 for 3 with two runs scored and a stolen base. Alli Fite was 1 for 3 with an RBI and a double.

The Lady Cats are now 7-0 in district play and their season record improves to 20-4. The Lady Cats have won eight straight games. The Lady Cats play Hallsville next at Lady Cat Park Tuesday evening.
