The Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Health Care Foundation Board announced Monday that they have received a very generous donation to the Leaving A Legacy campaign. Paul and Lilah Newton made the donation, to be used for a 3D/4D sonogram, in memory of Lilah’s parents Joe Dan and Maurine Sapaugh Avinger, both Hopkins County natives. Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Board is Expected to Adopt a Higher Tax Rate
The Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Board is expected to adopt a tax rate for next fiscal year’s budget that is up 3.63-cents to a maximum 25-cents per $100 valuation at a Monday night meeting at 6 p.m. The board is also expected to consider a non-budgeted fiber upgrade for the Emory clinic.
