Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Continues to Search for a Partner
The Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Board continued the process of seeking a health care partner at a regular meeting Monday night. The board approved $100,000 for Stroudwater Strategic Planning to continue with the process. It is believed they are negotiating with three interested parties. At some point, visits will be arranged.
McAndrews Hopes to Land Grant for Diabetic Outreach in Children
Hopkins County Memorial Hospital CEO Michael McAndrew told the Hospital Board Monday night he is pursuing a rural health grant for $200,000 per year for three years for an outreach project involving diabetes and children. McAndrew said the project would attempt to identify school children at risk for diabetes and begin to educate them on eating healthy and exercise.
