The Saltillo Lady Lions’ basketball team won their Area playoff game Friday evening. The Lady Lions got by Ector, 39-35. The Lady Lions had a tough first two quarters and trailed 22-10 at halftime. The Wildcats’ basketball team will be playing Lovejoy in a bi-district game on Tuesday (February 20) at Paris at 7 p.m. Lovejoy and West Mesquite ended up in a tie for fourth place after their district play. In a playoff spot determining game Friday (February 16) night, the Leopards got by West Mesquite 58-53. The Wildcats come into Tuesday’s game ranked #13 in the state with a 28-4 season record.
