What Happened to the Civic Center?
Last weekend, during the Ranch Rodeo a sponsor accidentally crashed into the top of the Civic Center awning. A KSST Source said “the sponsor’s load was too high” and it couldn’t fit under the Civic Center awning, resulting in the damages viewed below. The Civic Center is currently working on receiving bid’s to repair the broken section.
Handicapable Rodeo: Cowboys and Cowgirls For a Day
The UPRA Rodeo coincides with the Handicapable Rodeo. This annual event was put on from help with the UPRA Rodeo Cowboys, SSHS Key Club Students, Cheerleaders, and many other students. The special education and handicap children are able to participate in various rodeo style activities: such as horseback riding and mechanical bull riding. Lowes Heroes Project Donation to Lil’ 4’s
Lowes has a company program in every store, called the Lowes Heroes Project. This program allows Lowes to help out underfunded community projects and non-profit organizations.
